Highlights — Why we like Anji Bamboo Sea

Intro

The Anji Bamboo Sea is a vast forest of moso bamboo covering the hills of Anji County in Zhejiang Province. Some of the bamboo sea scenes in Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon were filmed here, and the landscape — tall green columns filtering golden light, the sound of rustling leaves in the wind — lives up to its cinematic reputation. The area is crisscrossed with walking and cycling trails.
