Huaxi River Scenic Area

The Huaxi River Scenic Area preserves one of Guizhou's most beautiful natural valleys — a landscape of cascading mountain streams, limestone formations, and traditional Buyi and Miao minority stone villages. The river flows through a series of small gorges and waterfalls before widening into the Huaxi Reservoir. Hiking trails connect the villages and viewpoints along the valley. It is a genuine escape from urban China into a landscape that feels largely unchanged for centuries.
