Intro

The Lingshan Grand Buddha is one of the world's tallest Buddhist statues — an 88-metre bronze standing Buddha situated on the slopes of Lingshan Mountain above the shores of Taihu Lake in Wuxi. Consecrated in 1997 after six years of construction, it depicts Sakyamuni Buddha in a welcoming gesture. The broader Lingshan scenic complex includes the extraordinary Brahma Palace — an underground temple of immense scale and theatrical design with music, water, and light shows.
