Liziba Station on Chongqing's Light Rail Line 2 is one of the most extraordinary pieces of urban infrastructure in the world. The elevated rail line passes directly through floors 6 to 8 of a 30-storey residential building — trains threading through the living floors of an inhabited apartment block. Residents on those floors experience trains passing their windows every few minutes. The station has become a tourist attraction in its own right, drawing visitors who come specifically to watch and photograph the train emerging from the building.
