Tang Dynasty Evening Show
A spectacular dinner show recreating the glory of Tang Dynasty court culture
Intro
The Tang Dynasty Evening Show is Xi'an's premier cultural performance — a 2-hour dinner show staged in a purpose-built theatre in central Xi'an, recreating the music, dance, and court rituals of the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD), the golden age of Chinese civilisation when Xi'an (then called Chang'an) was the most cosmopolitan city in the world. The performance combines traditional music played on ancient instruments, elaborate Tang Dynasty dance, and acrobatics, all with English subtitles. The accompanying Tang Dynasty imperial banquet features dishes recreated from historical recipes.
