Yellow Crane Tower
Yellow Crane Tower — legendary landmark above the Yangtze in Wuhan
Intro
The Yellow Crane Tower (Huang He Lou) is one of the Four Great Towers of China and the most celebrated landmark in Wuhan. Perched on Snake Hill overlooking the Yangtze River, the current 5-storey tower was reconstructed in 1985 on the site of successive historical towers dating back to 223 AD. The tower has been immortalised in Chinese poetry for 1,400 years — most famously by the Tang Dynasty poet Cui Hao. The observation deck offers panoramic views over the Yangtze and Wuhan's bridges.
